Five years ago in May, I had a story idea that would forever change my life.
You see, I am a constant daydreamer. And while I'd dabbled here and there in writing down the stories I daydreamed, it wasn't until one specific story idea came along that I began to write with any seriousness.
Five years later, fiction is my life.
I write it, teach it, making my living from it---and I am so grateful to be able to say that.
I've learned so much these past five years (and I know I still have so much more to learn), but today I'd like to share five things in particular that I wish I'd known when I first began writing as a way to celebrate my writing anniversary with all of you!
I'm so sorry I don't have a transcript of this video to share with you today. It was a long one, and unfortunately I ran short on time this week. I hope you were still able to check it out.
Over on Youtube, I publish writing advice and discussions, as well as some fun bookish videos. If you're interested, don't forget to subscribe!
Did you enjoy today's video?
I'd love for you to join me in the comments below (or over on Youtube) and tell me all about how long you've been writing and what you've learned along the way!
