I'm here to help you write sensational novels and
build the well-storied writing life you crave.
Hi, I'm Kristen Kieffer. A life-long reader and storyteller, I love living life as an author of speculative fiction and creative writing resources.
Creating community among writers has been a passion of mine since launching Well-Storied (formerly She's Novel) in January 2014. Currently, I run active + engaged communities on Facebook and Twitter.

Ooh, let's get to know one another! Grab a cuppa and settle in. I'm sharing a few fun facts about myself below:
1. My favorite author is...
This is a close tie between Ursula K. Le Guin and J.R.R. Tolkien. Other favorites include Patrick Rothfuss, George R.R. Martin, Kristin Cashore, and Leigh Bardugo.
2. I'm a huge coffee snob.
Break out the French Press! I'm a black coffee drinker, through and through.
3. I have a passion project.
I consider The Dark Between series to be my passion project. The idea came from a singular scene I daydreamed back in May 2012...but the scene itself is too spoilery to share!
4. My author entrepreneur journey began with She's Novel.
In January 2014, I began blogging at She's Novel as a way to share what I was learning about the writing craft with other beginners. Two years later, I rebranded the site and Well-Storied was born.
5. I might be a bit of a nerd.
I have an unhealthy love for everything Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Firefly, and Game of Thrones. See also: an intense knowledge of medieval warfare, weaponry, and torture devices. Oh, and all of Hamilton. I'm ready for our rap battle, son.
6. I'm an Oxford comma loyalist.
This is not a debate.
7. My taste in music is quite the dichotomy.
You can find me listening to either indie folk or hip-hop. There is no in-between. Current favorites include The Lumineers, Daughter, Lord Huron, Raleigh Richie, Gallant, Jack Garratt, and, of course, the Hamilton soundtrack.
